European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP)

The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) is a bilateral foreign chamber that promotes European interests in the Philippines and vice versa. With nearly 800 members, the ECCP offers a strong business network that holds great potential in translating to tangible business opportunities. It is a unique organization that offers membership as well as professional business services to members and clients.

This project aims to develop a use case with the Province of South Cotabato in increasing disclosure of relevant contracting information to sustain and/or enhance investor confidence and local competitiveness.

ECCP intends to work with the Province of South Cotabato considering its good standing and level of influence in the Local Government Integrity Circle (LoGIC) Network. South Cotabato is the second most competitive province as ranked by the National Competitiveness Council (NCC) and the introduction as well as inclusion of OC principles in South Cotabato’s integrity mechanisms can contribute to higher competitiveness rankings. While they are considered compliant to the Government Procurement Reform Act, there is still a need to improve their compliance performance by increasing their disclosure of procurement documents. Aside from South Cotabato’s local recognitions, they were recently chosen to be part of the Open Government Partnership Sub National Program.
